Job description:
Regulatory Compliance Oversight:
Monitoring and Advising:The KI is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct issued by regulatory bodies such as the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa.
Policy Development:Developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Risk Management:
Risk Assessment:Conducting regular risk assessments to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could affect the company's operations or clients.
Internal Controls:Establishing and maintaining adequate internal controls to manage risks effectively and prevent regulatory breaches.
Governance and Oversight:
Board and Management Reporting:Providing regular reports to the board of directors and senior management on compliance issues, risks, and regulatory developments.
Training and Awareness:Ensuring that staff members are adequately trained and informed about regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
Client Protection and Service Standards:
Client Interactions:Ensuring that the company maintains high standards of service and professionalism in all client interactions.
Complaints Handling:Overseeing the handling of client complaints and ensuring timely resolution in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
