Minimum requirements for the role: A pharmaceutical or biochemistry or chemistry or a related qualification is preferred but not essential for the role. Previous experience having worked in a key accounts or sales role within the pharmaceutical and or related raw material active ingredient market calling on the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is preferred for the role. The company is also happy to consider a salesperson who is calling on doctors etc within the medical / pharma markets for this role and will train the person on pharma raw materials. The company will also consider a pharma graduate with no sales experience who is keen to move into a sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing and managing key account customers within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry supplying them with a range of speciality pharmaceutical raw material ingredients. Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with new and existing customers. Conducting customer visits with suppliers when international suppliers visit the country. Establishing and achieving monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts as well as assisting in the preparation of annual budgets for senior management. Regularly reviewing market trends and surveys and aligning key account strategies accordingly. Identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as increasing margins and profits with the assigned area. Keeping abreast of sales information and the companys product offerings. Providing technical support on pharmaceutical speciality raw material ingredients to customers in order to grow customer confidence and customer relationships.
