Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification, preferably a chemical degree or diploma is preferred but not essential for this role. Previous experience having worked in a key account management or accounts management or a related sales role within selling chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industry is preferred. Previous experience having worked within the detergent, paints and coatings, construction or food and related markets selling chemical raw materials to manufacturers is preferred. Must be computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and driving sales volumes at key account customers maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities. Overseeing and managing the distribution agencies for specific products and additives. Promoting new and existing chemical raw material products into the manufacturing industry. Ensuring that key accounts are serviced and that their expectations of products are met. Identifying new potential customers ensuring that business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product. Identifying and developing new products and agencies within various markets. Managing and negotiating the pricing of products with customers. Strategically assisting with the setting of monthly price lists on various products. Managing and implementing strategies to drive growth with key accounts. Managing chemical raw material stock portfolio for key accounts. Attending various conferences and trade shows nationally and internationally.
