Qualification and ExperienceMBA (or equivalent) from a recognized university.BE in Electronics or Computers preferred.5-7 years of experience in direct selling of software products and solutions.Technical SkillsKnowledge of software development processes and document management technologies.Understanding of competitive products.Preparing tender documents and proposals.Understanding the application of the product in a particular industry.Managerial, personal, and leadership skills.Knowledge of marketing and management concepts.Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients.Excellent oral and written communication skills, and good presentation skills.Understanding of software product market dynamics.Understanding of software development quality management processes.Understanding of the industry segment and industries in the allocated area.Good negotiation skills.Customer relationship management.Role & ResponsibilityDevising sales plan and schedule.Prospecting clients with the presentation of the product/brochure/literature.Arranging for demonstrations of the product.Convincing the client about the product and collecting specific requirements.Discussing the requirements with regional sales managers.Negotiating the requirements with the client, if necessary.Preparing the Marketing Requirement Document incorporating the proposal and order received.Acquiring the purchase order/Letter of Intent (LOI) from the customer and sending it to corporate office along with Order Execution Advice for further processing.Following up on delivery to the customer.Delivery of the product to the customer and installation.Collection of payments.Ensuring that all documents relevant to the deal are properly filed (tender, purchase order, offer, etc.
