Junior To Mid-Level Accountant

The Accountant supports the Senior Accountants and the team to achieve high client satisfaction. The accountant is required to manage a portfolio of clients directly over a few months and to advise these clients on a day-to-day basis with the approval of their manager. The accountant is responsible for corresponding with clients, submitting all relevant tax-related returns, and assisting the team leader in team training, client CFO services, and upkeep of all relevant clients in the portfolio. Below are the key responsibilities of the accountant role. Note that these will change over time, as CFO360 evolves. The responsibilities show the tasks that must be done for the junior accountant to meet the basic requirements of their role.
Responsibilities:
? Emails responded to within 8 hours
? Tax submissions to SARS and CIPC
? Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
? Prepare management accounts and assist with client queries thereon
? Other accounting and tax responsibilities for clients
? Assisting with payroll processing and submissions
? Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements.
? Preparing CFO and tax saving discussions with clients that include budgets, cashflow forecasts, and spending discussions
? To call SARS on behalf of the team
? assisting the team members with any ad-hoc tasks on their clients
? to prepare asset registers and HPO schedules
? Assisting clients with bookkeeping and Dext training
? Taking client calls and responding to all tax and accounting-related queries
? To perform any other reasonable jobs and requests from seniors on an Ad-Hoc basis
? Assisting team leader with team training and ad-hoc reviews of reporting before being sent to clients
