About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Technical Support Specialist to support the administration and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 platform. The successful candidate will assist in managing user accounts, licenses, permissions, security settings, and compliance policies within M365. This role requires basic troubleshooting skills, an understanding of M365 governance and best practices, and the ability to provide support to end-users and IT staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively within a team to ensure the smooth operation and security of M365 services.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in administering and supporting the Microsoft 365 platform.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Proficiency in managing user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the M365 Admin Center.
In-depth knowledge of M365 security and compliance settings, including DLP, eDiscovery, and retention policies.
Familiarity with M365 governance and best practices.
Ability to monitor and optimise the performance of M365 services.
Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for M365 configurations, procedures, and policies.
Ability to provide training and guidance on M365 tools and features.
Experience in collaborating with IT teams to integrate M365 services with existing systems and workflows.
Knowledge of M365 migrations and upgrades.
Awareness of the latest M365 features, updates, and best practices.
Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements for M365 services.
Proficiency in developing automation scripts for routine M365 administrative tasks.
Experience in IT project participation related to M365.
Skills in generating and analysing reports on M365 usage, performance, and security incidents.
Ability to respond to and resolve escalated support tickets related to M365.
Experience in managing and troubleshooting M365 hybrid environments.
Ability to coordinate with Microsoft support for issue resolution and service enhancements.
Experience in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures related to M365.
Ability to lead initiatives to enhance user adoption and effective utilisation of M365 tools.
Skills in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance M365 support efficiency.

Role & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems.
Create, manage, and delete user accounts and groups in Active Directory or other directory services.
Implement and enforce user access controls and security policies.
Install, update, and manage software applications and licenses.
Troubleshoot software issues and provide support to end-users.
Maintain and repair IT hardware, including servers, workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
Oversee hardware inventory and procurement.
Monitor system performance and availability, using tools to track and analyze system metrics.
Optimize system performance and manage capacity planning.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system maintenance.
Implement automation tools to streamline IT operations.
Ensure IT systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Resolve helpdesk tickets and escalated issues promptly and effectively.
Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
Participate in IT projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
