Basic Requirements: Formal Tertiary education: Grade 12 Diploma in Information Technology (Software Development) Languages: English Read, write and speak (required) Afrikaans Read, write and speak (optional) German (optional) Drivers Licence: Code 8- (or higher) Experience: Working knowledge of database applications Competent in SQL Computer and industrial network knowledge Able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing and start-up Work logically and systematically and apply problem solving techniques to gain purposeful and conclusive resolve Sound understanding of facility commissioning requirements with 1 3-year exposure to projects environment Practical usage of MS software or similar Confidently interface and communicate with other technical professionals Job Objectives: Ensuring on-time completion of projects Program, test and commission facilities to the project scope of work Develop, improve and refine software/code used in projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the control systems department Main Responsibilities: Define & set up process flowcharts and sequence of operation for required facilities Establish most effective control system configuration to achieve required specification Apply advanced control techniques to production process Program, test & commission facilities within allocated project constraints Assist the mechanical and electrical technicians when commissioning facilities Provide detailed Control System documentation upon project completion Attend & positively contribute in relevant project related meetings Liaise confidently & constructively with customers from time to time during projects Provide production support on project where need be Travel locally & internationally, to assist installation & commissioning of facilities on site Integrate/interface to other site machines (Serial, Digital, Ethernet, Profi-bus etc) Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998 Jendamark Automation reserves the right not to make an appointment.
