You will have access to:Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of.A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune.A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.The OpportunityThis position works out of our Johannesburg offices as a Junior Supply Chain Specialist on a 12 Month FTC.What You'll Do:Partner with 3PL and cross-functional teams to evaluate metrics for success on key projects.Work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, supply chain, finance, freight forwarders, and brokerage teams on any projects where support is required.Assist with the implementation of the Catapult implementation project across all Abbott divisions.Support the CFS Logistics team in identifying gaps and opportunities in warehouse practices and processes.Support QA teams on the investigation of product quality complaints and deviations related to Supply Chain and Logistics processes.Handle all correspondence in a timely and effective manner through proactive and responsive communication to internal and external business partners.Prepare Executive Level presentations as required.Support the CFS Logistics team in overcoming roadblocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customer requirements, ensuring quality and timeliness.Monitor 3PL performance through KPI management.Required QualificationsTertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations or equivalent.Preferred Experience:Minimum of 2 years Supply Chain and Logistics experience within the medical industry preferred.Experience in working with and implementing ERP and Warehouse Management systems.A strong understanding and knowledge of technology and systems within the Supply Chain and Logistics environment.Experience with SAP 4/H (implementation/user).
