Junior Sous Chef - Luxury Lodge - Madikwe

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in our culinary team, focusing on both pastry preparation and private catering for villa guests. Your responsibilities will include creating delightful culinary experiences for up to 10 guests in our villas and contributing to the overall culinary operations of the lodge. You will work alongside a talented team of chefs, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and present high-quality pastry dishesCater as a private chef for villa guests (up to 10 guests)Assist in the overall culinary operations at the lodgeCollaborate with the Executive Chef and the culinary team to develop and refine menusEnsure food safety and hygiene standards are maintainedParticipate in a 3 to 4 day cook-off as part of the selection processMinimum Requirements:Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar roleExcellent pastry skillsAbility to cater for private dining experiencesStrong team player with excellent communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCulinary degree or equivalent qualification (beneficial)Benefits:Free shared accommodation on-site6 weeks on, 2 weeks off leave cycleSalary range: R10,000.00 to R12,000.00 per month, depending on experienceThree meals provided dailyInclusion in the staff trust after 5 years, with profit-sharing opportunitiesOptional provident fund after 2 yearsCommencement date: 1st August or soonerExperience: Between 1 - 3 Years
