Role Description – Junior Sous Chef:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Tables at Nitída. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to take your culinary career to the next level, playing a vital part in our kitchen operations. You will lead menu development, manage inventory, and uphold the highest culinary standards. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef, you'll help elevate our dining experience and contribute to our restaurant's success through creative culinary ideas.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field
Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a reputable establishment (verifiable references required)
Strong leadership skills for managing and motivating kitchen teams
Proficiency in menu creation, inventory management, and maintaining kitchen sanitation standards
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Additional Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R12,000 - R16,000 (experience and market-related)
Own reliable transportation required (public transport not allowed)
Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, overtime, evening events, and Christmas lunch
