Stunning property in the Timbavati is looking for a Junior Sous Chef.Experience required:At least 2+ years Chef experience at a 5-star lodgeCulinary school diploma or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of culinary techniques and trendsExperience in a lodge or remote location settingKnowledge of local ingredients and cuisineCreative flair and a passion for innovation in the kitchenHACCP KnowledgeKnowledge and experience with PANstrat would be advantageousDuties include:Supervise and support kitchen staff in all food preparation and presentation tasksEnsure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and that recipes are being followed and executed correctlyMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areasAssist in the training and development of kitchen staffHelp monitor and manage inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies when neededEnsure timely and efficient service during mealtimesGood communication within the kitchen – handle and resolve kitchen-related issues as they ariseConstant upkeep on the buffet, bush delights and banquetingGood interaction with GuestsMust be able to be flexible and approachable with new ideas and conceptsHave a clear understanding of special dietary needsThis is a live-in position.
