Responsibilities:
Create, prepare, cook, and bake a variety of dishes to perfection for full service.
Follow our established and innovative exploration of recipes and guidelines.
Show creativity and innovation in developing new menu items to tantalize our guests' taste buds.
Maintain impeccable standards of food quality, exquisite presentation skills, and taste.
Ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional timely service.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and aspiring young chefs sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Manage stock and stock movement.
Budgets and cost controls.
Manage impeccable hygiene and cleanliness requirements.
Keep abreast with industry trends and innovation.
Requirements:
Chef diploma.
Proven experience as a Graduate and as an Intermediate Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Extensive knowledge of various culinary and pastry techniques and a diverse range of cuisines.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellence in every dish.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive attitude, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning.
Flexibility and reliability essential.
Willing to work long hours and double shifts if required.
Must have own transport and reside in the Winelands region / Paarl.
