The Faircape Group owns and manages six luxury lifestyle/retirement villages throughout the Western Cape.
We are seeking an energetic and competentJuniorSite Foreman (short term contract)to assist with coordinating site operations and oversee contractors for our Construction Company withinHermanusat our facilityOnrus Manor.
You will supervise and manage on-site building operations, including house renovations and upgrades within our healthcare facilities.If you're looking to work with a dynamic and reputable retirement group, this is the opportunity for you.
Please note the position is based in Hermanus and candidates residing within the area will be considered
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Manage site staff, general workers, artisans and subcontractors.
Ensure that contractors carry out their work as per the specifications and plans issued
Ensure that the highest level of quality in all work is maintained at all times
Ensure that health and safety requirements are enforced and maintained
Ensure that the building program is followed and any deviations are reported to the Site Manager
Ensure that subcontractors are coordinated and programmed in order to meet the project timelines.
Manage the site in an orderly and efficient way
Ensure that attention to detail is always maintained
Qualifications:
Matric
Experience and Knowledge:
Proven experience in a relevant role in the residential construction industry and in housing developments
On-site experience
Ability to understand plans and programs
Ability to start site set up and setting out of projects
Computer literate
Skills and Attributes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Display excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills organisational skills
Self-motivated and disciplined

Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break.
The position will be available immediately until the end of Decemeber 2023.
Salary on offer from R 18 000.00 Cost to Company per month.
