Job PurposeTo identify and eliminate all potential risks in the workplace.RequirementsGrade 12National Diploma (Safety Management)Minimum 3 years' experience within a SHE departmentKey Performance Areas:SHE Policies and ProceduresEnsure implementation and compliance of SHE policies and proceduresOperate according to standard operating procedures and within the parameters of applicable legislationSHE ManagementImplement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policiesMonitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplaceMaintain health, safety and security standards are maintained at all timesConduct Planned Task Observations and take appropriate action to address identified risksConduct incident investigationsAttend SHE meetings and perform duties of the secretariatSHE Management SystemMaintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 Safety Management system requirementsSHE AuditsConduct SHE and Risk AuditsParticipate in all Audit processesRisk AssessmentsIdentify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplaceEmergenciesMonitor and control Emergency Equipment (Fire Extinguishers, Breathing Apparatus, spill kits, etc.)Deal with safety, health and environmental emergenciesTrainingCoordinate emergency evacuation drillsConduct Tool box talks and safety awareness trainingAssist with SHE induction trainingIncident and accident investigationCoordinate incident/accident investigations and conduct investigations into workplace incidentsMake recommendations and manage the implementation of corrective actionsSHE AdministrationMaintain and update SHE notice boardsConduct BSO's and manage CIP's
