Our Finance Team is looking for a dynamic and extremely capable candidate who has the ability to work both independently and with others.

Duties and Responsibilities Responsibility for daily reconciling of store bank accounts and control accountsFollow up on any discrepancies noted during the reconciliation process and action accordinglyChecking of daily cash deposits and petty cash transactions.Responsible for all customer and store queries relating to POS transactionsPrepare customer refunds where required.Able to operate across various legal entities within the Group, which includes entities outside of South AfricaPrepare and capture inter-group invoices.Assist in ad-hoc management and audit queries.Providing superior customer service and administrative supportPrepare relevant schedules for the annual auditAssist with daily foreign transactions and reconciling foreign liabilitiesChecking of stock costing and preparation of costing adjustmentsAssist with all staff related debtor requirementsAssist with ad-hoc management queriesExperience & Qualification A Finance related qualification or studying towards one (advantageous)A minimum of three years' experience in finance (advantageous)Strong numerical skillsExcellent working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel (intermediate to advance)Excellent time management skillsGood verbal & written communication skillsStrong administration skillsPrevious exposure to an ERP systemCompetencies Required Team collaborator & passionateAnalyticalAccurate & proactiveAble to problem solve & self-manageAble to handle pressure wellWilling to learn and develop Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
