JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR Brackenfell, Cape TownR20 000 R25 000 Per Month plus Performance based bonus (Negotiable based on Qualification and years of relevant experience)Our Client, a highly reputable and established plumbing construction firm is seeking a bright and energetic quantity surveyor to join their dynamic team of professionals.One would describe you as a highly articulate and driven team player who possesses natural negotiation skills and who operates well within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Main Purpose of the Role will be to support the QS and Projects team in terms of taking-off measurements from drawings, compiling BoQ's for the plumbing trade, material orders, monthly claims, pricing of tenders, etc.Key Duties include:Procurement: monitor expenditure and incoming invoices from the suppliers, preparation of procurement schedules for projects.Costings: monitor and tracking of expenses and overall profit margin on the job costings, ensuring that construction site costings are as accurate as possible.Project Claims & Final account: preparation of project claims right up to final account and close out documents (including hand over and operation manuals)Project Planning/Execution: studying construction programme and discussing/interpreting programme to site supervisors.Cost report; preparation of cost reports including profit and loss analysis at the start of the project.Qualification, Skills and Experience:N.Dip Building / B.Tech QS / BSc QS or related qualificationMinimum 3-5 Years quantity surveying experience gained within the plumbing construction and / or building / construction industryStrong command of English both verbally and in writingFluency or understanding of AfrikaansProficiency on MS Office and DropboxValid drivers licence and own vehicle is preferred
