A well-known masterbatch/colourants and additives manufacturing companyReference: PS010219-RB-1A well-known masterbatch/colourants and additives manufacturing company providing products to the plastics converting industry requires a quality control technician to conduct and communicate quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the plastic manufacturing plant through to the laboratory ensuring that the finished product supplied meets customer needs.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum requirements for the role:Must have a matric certificate, with maths.A diploma is preferred but not essential.Previous experience having worked in a quality control position is preferred but not essential.The company is happy to train a sciences or related graduate into this role who has no work experience.Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.Previous experience having worked within the plastic or polymer or masterbatch or related markets is preferred but not essential.Previous research and development experience will prove advantageous.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Conducting and communicating quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the manufacturing plant through to the laboratory.Ensuring that the finished goods supplied to the customers meet the company's quality standards and the customer's needs.Communicating well with a diverse range of people at different levels of seniority.Managing time and workload based on production planning requirements and/or urgencies.Carrying out the procedural quality checks on the manufactured samples.Performing visual inspection of finished goods.Generating quality reports.Package & RemunerationSalary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
