Our Cape Town Agency is searching for a proactive, detail-driven Junior Digital Project Manager to become an essential part of our Development Department.
In this role, you'll be managing CMS operations, ensuring seamless updates and efficient workflows. You'll also get the chance to partner closely with our Lead Digital Project Manager, jumping into exciting projects that shape the digital landscape for some of South Africa's biggest brands.
Role Overview:
As the Junior Digital Project Manager, you'll be leading the Website Content Management Team and ensuring our digital projects exceed expectations. From managing detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines to optimizing operational processes, you'll be at the heart of everything that keeps our work running smoothly.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
Have a solid understanding of platforms and technologies used by the team.
Act as the primary point of contact for updates, integrations, or leaflet requirements.
Capable of uploading content and publishing via CMS.
Take full ownership of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting all requirements.
Define project scopes and draft functional specification documents for the development team.
Create and manage project briefs to guide the development process.
Collaborate with the digital design, development, and client IT team to ensure all digital asset needs are met.
Collect and interpret client feedback, translating it into actionable tasks.
Assign tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
Create and manage detailed project timelines with key milestones.
Plan and execute product and website testing for quality assurance before releases.
eCRM Project Management:
Oversee the creation, development, and delivery of direct client communications.
Manage and collaborate with third-party suppliers for email, SMS, WhatsApp, and digital direct marketing.
Ensure efficient turnaround from design to final product for communications.
Maintain data hygiene briefed in with the developer and ensure compliance with POPIA requirements when handling data.
People Management:
Collaborate with clients, IT, and internal teams to address technical challenges in content delivery.
Attend and contribute to client and internal meetings and presentations.
Build strong relationships internally, externally, and with third-party professionals.
Handle quick-turnaround requests from clients, ensuring expectations are met.
Provide daily updates and liaise with clients and internal teams on project status and opportunities.
Participate in internal meetings with account managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Finance Management:
Ensure Cost Estimates and PO's are being prepared and billed in conjunction with finance billing timings.
Monitor and maintain billing instructions and forecasts.
Work with finance teams to make sure all internal and client tools and platforms are billed and renewed in a timely manner.
Minimum relevant experience required:
Understanding of web-friendly formats, specs, and requirements.
Professional experience required in website content management and maintenance or in an online, digitally related field.
Experience in digital marketing activities and email marketing campaigns.
Understanding of the digital ecosystem and digital platforms outside of the website (WhatsApp, social platforms, etc.).

Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight timelines in a dynamic fast-paced environment while maintaining communication and attention to detail.
Excellent command of the English language – both verbal and written.
Minimum education requirements:
High school qualification minimum requirements.
Completed Diploma in project management or relevant technology field.
At least 2 years' experience in a project management role for a development team, agency, or division.
