JOB TITLE: Junior Product Manager – TP Link AREA: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa INDUSTRY: ICT – Components & Peripherals Salary / CTC: R 12 000 – R 15 000 (depending on current earnings, qualifications and experience) Report to: Operations Director Job Summary: To support and assist Product Managers in their core role of managing stock on hand as per budget and sellout management ensuring the business realises it's targets.
Support back-office functions that align with overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Achieve monthly GP targetOrder products as per the TP-Link strategyAchieve sell-out target, set by our clientAchieve and drive stock and aged stock targetsProduce and manage product support and quotingUnderstand and implement our client's strategy and policies in alignment with productProvide full product support (including but not limited to: PDF Spec Sheets, Web Info, SalesSupport, Customer Support-Systems Integrators)Manage the profitability of productsAssist sales team with quotationsProvide sales support to our client's sales teamsMaintain ERP system ensuring system is up to date with product codes and pricing agreementsAttend weekly sales meetings and assist in resolving stock issuesManage stock within budget as well as weeks of inventoryManage aging stock within budgetDrive active and aging stockUnderstand the logistics processBuild and maintain internal and external relationships with all stakeholdersManage vendor relationship and align strategically with the vendorMaintain relationships with customers and dales people to understand their requirements andincorporate into the stock forecasting EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: Proven administration skillsProven track record of sales success (preferably within the ICT distribution industry)Work experience in a customer service environmentExperience building relationships both externally and internallyPrevious experience of product management beneficialSKILLS AND EDUCATION Matric, preferably with mathematicsA tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Sales, Marketing, or IT will be an advantageIntermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointMust have MS Excel Skills at a minimum of an Intermediate level and be able to use formula, calculations, pivot tables and V-Lookups in a spreadsheetStrategic thinker with strong planning and execution skillsExcellent verbal and written business communication skillsAble to complete basic calculations (ability to work with numbers)Organized individual who is deadline driven with good time management skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsGood attention to detailProven administration skills PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALITIES: Able to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targetsPassionate about salesInterested in IT products and technologyInterested in continuously learning about technology productsConfident, self-motivated, and display a high level of energyCustomer service orientatedEnjoy collaboration and able to work as part of a teamAbove average attention to detailWilling to go the extra mile to deliver the exceptionalStrong administrative abilitiesSelf-managed COMPLIANCE COMPETENCIES: Perform all duties with integrity, to the highest ethical standards, and in compliance with all relevant legal, contractual and other requirements as mandated by the Company Code of Conduct.Keep up to date with changes in applicable compliance obligations, controls and measures relevant to the role.EXTRAS Travel Required: No
