Our client in the water and wastewater treatment industry is looking for a skilled Junior Millwright to support maintenance and repair tasks across various sites.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment to OEM standards, ensuring reliable operation, and promoting safe work practices.
Responsibilities: Service and repair multidisciplinary equipment across designated sites.
Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting.
Install and fully commission new equipment, ensuring it meets specifications before handover.
Support and assist with workshop activities, maintaining plant equipment to OEM standards.
Control and manage stock items, ensuring timely replacements and proper usage.
Compile root cause analysis reports and make recommendations for improved plant reliability.
Maintain all required documentation, including service records, log sheets, job cards, and time sheets.
Adhere to installation and commissioning procedures, ensuring quality and compliance.
Supervise or assist contractors with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Comply with safety procedures, including risk assessments and permit-to-work (PTW) processes.
Conduct regular housekeeping to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Be available for standby duties and perform additional tasks as required by the department manager.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications: Grade 12 or NQF Level 3 qualification.
Millwright Trade Certificate.
Valid Code B driver's license.
