Our esteemed client is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Junior Mechanical/Chemical Engineer (Water and Wastewater Engineering).

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work remotely and on-site in Pretoria and Witbank as needed.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment process design and engineering.Basic technical knowledge and understanding of water treatment processes.Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, AQUASIM) is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Project management and coordination skills.Experience with onsite commissioning, project startup, and remote project management is an advantage.Ability to develop and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Competence in performing engineering design calculations and verifications.Experience with onsite installation, commissioning, and operations.Sales and estimation experience, including proposal and tender compilation, client meetings, and project scoping is an advantageStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Valid Drivers license and own vehicle.
Duties:Assist in the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes and systems.Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to determine optimal solutions for clients.Prepare engineering designs, specifications, and drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.Create and verify engineering design calculations.Develop and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Manage and coordinate projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Participate in onsite commissioning and project startup activities to ensure smooth operation.Oversee onsite remote work, project management, and operations.Perform process optimization, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of existing treatment systems.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.Assist in sales and estimation tasks, including preparing cost estimates and proposals for clients.Sales-related activities such as compiling proposals, tenders, attending client meetings, and scoping projects.Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional requirements.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in water and wastewater treatment If you have not heard from us within 3 months of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.Only online applications will be considered.You will be directed to our database service provider, Ditto Jobs.
