Key ResponsibilitiesManagement and control of all engineering and fabrication at Core Support Services Workshops, including activities at both Vanderbijlpark and Newcastle Works.Management of SHERQ and Legislation for the areas.2.7A responsibilities and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Develop, implement, and execute a maintenance strategy for workshop equipment.Management of capital and other projects.Accountable for compiling and executing the Value Plan for the CSS Workshop section.Compilation and execution of Workshops turn-around plan.Accountable for workshops costs and financial results.Operational management of all allocated sections.Order scheduling, planning, and On Time Delivery of jobs.People management, including development and training of employees.QualificationsB-Eng. Degree (NQF 8/10)Preferably a Structured Junior Management Development ProgramExperience and RequirementsMinimum 6 years experience.Management experience in production and/or maintenance environment (Financial systems, Industrial Relations, Union Management, etc).Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2004, ISO9001:2008 codes.Eligible to be appointed in GMR 2.7a role.Thorough knowledge of AMSA operations.Relevant experience in Machining and Fabrication Workshop operations will be an advantage.Personal AttributesMust be able to work under pressure.Sound communication and negotiation skills.
