Our client is seeking a Junior Inventory/Slotting Manager, who will be responsible for managing and optimizing the storage and organization of products within a warehouse. This role involves coordinating inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking, and implementing efficient slotting strategies to enhance operational productivity.
Responsibilities: Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy in stock records.Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts.Track and manage inventory movements and adjustments.Slotting Optimization:Analyze product demand and movement patterns.Implement slotting strategies to optimize space utilization and improve picking efficiency.Adjust slotting based on seasonal changes, new product introductions, and promotional activities.Warehouse Coordination:Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Assist in the layout planning of the warehouse to maximize storage capacity.Ensure that products are stored in optimal locations based on their characteristics and demand patterns.Data Analysis and Reporting:Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory data.Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and slotting efficiency.Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management and slotting processesProcess Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management and slotting.Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in inventory and slotting management.Customer Service:Address and resolve inventory-related issues and discrepancies.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely replenishment of stock.Support the fulfillment of customer orders by ensuring accurate and timely picking and packing.Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related role is preferred.Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management systems and software.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Basic knowledge of warehouse layout and slotting principles.Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
