Junior Industrial Engineer

OverviewOur Client within the Automotive Industry is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12/MatricBCom in Industrial EngineeringMinimum 1 year's manufacturing experience within the Industrial Engineering field.Able to conduct time studies using ratings and allowance.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Advantageous:Co-ordination of Kaizen projects.Statistical Process Control implementation.Process Capability study experience.Measurement System Analysis study experience.ISO9001 or IATF16949 or VDA6.3 Standard knowledge.Job RequirementsConduct operation time studies throughout production processes for all products.Establish output/yield targets for all production products.Conduct work load balancing studies.Conduct time studies for "new" projects.Conduct activity sampling studies for indirect and direct operations.Conduct production studies to identify value-adding and non-value-adding activities.Aid in developing a production planning and scheduling system.Identify and reduce or eliminate process waste throughout production processes.Count and capture Work-In-Progress and Kanban product quantities for planning preparation.Participate in problem-solving workshops.Develop, implement and review Work Instructions.Conduct inventory cycle counts.Capture torque data measurements and analysis for improvement.Capture operation data (quality/performance/availability) for performance measurements.Capture data for process capability analysis.Aid in updating and developing production skills matrix.Participate in VDA6.3 and IATF16949 audit preparation activities.Any other reasonable duties as and when required.Key Competencies/SkillsAbility to present workings via Microsoft PowerPoint.Ability to identify "quick win" projects.Ability to work accurately under pressure.Ability to concentrate for long periods.Proactiveness and hands-on approach.Adequate report writing skills.Initiative to take more work on
