Job Title: Junior HR Graduate / Officer Position Overview Our client is seeking a young, dynamic individual in the early stages of their HR career to join their team as a Junior HR Officer. The role will support various HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, payroll, employee relations, and team-building initiatives, ensuring smooth HR operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities Assist with recruitment by posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate databases.Conduct onboarding for new employees, including induction training.Draft and issue employment contracts and HR documentation.Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.Prepare and issue fortnightly wages for permanent and seasonal employees across multiple entities.Accurately capture data on platforms such as Payspace, People Flow, and Data Gear for new recruits.Coordinate the ordering, distribution, and maintenance of employee uniforms.Update organizational charts and employee lists as needed.Prepare and review fortnightly wages, resolving discrepancies where necessary.Capture payroll data, including wages, overtime, and deductions, on Payspace and other platforms.Balance payroll-related sheets for relevant entities.Ensure HR documentation is accurate and up-to-date.Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory reports (ATR, WSP, Employment Equity).Maintain performance appraisals, training certificates, and other key records.Administer and document HR-related forums, including Workers' Committees, Skills Development, and Health and Safety meetings.Prepare and file documentation required for audits.Assist the HR Manager with grievance and disciplinary issue administration.Support managers in issuing and tracking disciplinary actions.Maintain confidential records of employee interactions.Assist with employee well-being initiatives, such as flu vaccines and chaplaincy services.Organize team-building events, social activities, and employee functions.Support initiatives that promote employee morale and teamwork.Track and record required training specific to roles and employment duration.Administer UIF documentation and verify employment eligibility.Oversee onboarding, exit procedures, and equipment/uniform returns.Maintain health and safety training records and ensure compliance.Qualifications and Skills / Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in HumSalary: R Job Reference #: 1146307
