Job Purpose Statement: The Health and Safety Administrator supports the Safety Manager in ensuring the smooth management of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) documentation and compliance processes. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating EHS-related communication, and assisting with audits and reporting tasks. Key Performance Areas: Documentation Management: Assist the Safety Manager in filing and organizing EHS documentation. Update EHS files and ensure they are current and accessible. Submit EHS documents to clients for review and approval. Audit Support: Provide support to the Safety Manager during internal and external audits. Ensure all required EHS documentation is prepared and up-to-date for audits. Data Compilation and Reporting: Compile Behavioural Safety Observations (BSOs) and create spreadsheets to track trends and actions. Prepare reports as required by the Safety Manager. Meeting Coordination: Draft and distribute minutes for EHS meetings and other relevant sessions. Coordinate follow-ups on action items from meetings. Continuous Improvement: Update EHS documentation and processes as needed to ensure compliance and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to improve EHS practices. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Grade 12 or equivalent SAQA approved qualification 2 years related experience. SAQA accredited Certificate/Diploma in administrative field is advantageous. Proven proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Acrobat is essential. A minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative related experience within an EPCM environment or closely related field. Computer Literate (Word, Excel).
