Junior HR ManagerMy client, a specialized logistics company which operates a fleet of 80 food grade tankers for the transportation of mainly wine, plant oils and fruit concentrate, is currently recruiting for a Junior HR Manager for their depot in Brackenfell. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRECRUITMENT OF OFFICE STAFFCompile advert and get approvalPut advert on job portalsScreen CVs and compile short listInterviewsReference checksSend offerHR ADMINISTRATION & NBCFRLI ADMINISTRATIONOffice staff and drivers contractsCompile and maintain employee filesProvide HR information for monthly reportingCompile and maintain Job DescriptionsSubmit monthly D-form to National Bargaining Council of Road Freight and Logistics (NBCFRLI)Payment of Union membership feesYear-end bonus submissions at NBCFRLICompile Certificate of Service and other exit documentation to employees upon termination of servicesEnsure compliance to Collective Agreement of NBCFRLITake full responsibility for NBCFRLI audits annuallySKILLS & TRAININGCompile training needs analysis annuallyCompile budget and get approvalArrange training with external providersKeep record of all training recordsSubmit Annual Training Report and Workplace Skills Plan at TETAEMPLOYEE RELATIONSGive advice to Line Managers regarding disciplinary actionsCompile Notice to Hearings together with complainantArrange external Chairman for hearingCommunicate and keep record of hearing outcomesImplement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environmentEMPLOYMENT EQUITYSubmit Employment equity reports annuallyPAYROLLKeep track of all employee recordsOversee payroll process monthlyPERFORMANCE MANAGEMENTDevelop and implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performanceConduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employeesIdentify performance issues and develop improvement plans in collaboration with managersEMPLOYEE WELLNESS & COMMUNICATIONFacilitate communication between management and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and wellness initiativesEmployee birthdays and functionsDesired Experience & QualificationTertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial PsychologyPrevious experience in Transport environmentMinimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar positionExperience with dealing with the NBCFRLI will be advantageousWillingness to work closely with the Operations teamHands-onDetail orientedFully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)Ability to work with drivers and communicate effectively with them
