Job Title: Junior Human Resources Industrial Relations ConsultantReference: JHB003075-RD-1Area/Location: Remote (Travel will be required)Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR/IR Consultant to join our client's team remotely. The ideal candidate will be passionate about human resources and industrial relations, possess a strong understanding of labour laws, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Various Bargaining Councils, and demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The role will involve providing support to senior consultants, conducting research, drafting reports, and assisting with client consultations. Travel will be required as and when necessary, so owning a car is essential.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Conduct research on labour laws, regulations, and precedents to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to clients.Assist senior consultants in preparing for and conducting client consultations and meetings.Draft correspondence, reports, and documentation related to HR and IR matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.Support clients in managing disciplinary and grievance procedures, including representing them in CCMA cases where necessary.Provide guidance and support to clients on compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and other relevant legislation.Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of new service offerings.Keep abreast of changes in labour laws and regulations and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness.Keep abreast with various bargaining council regulations and requirements.Familiarity with liaising and corresponding with Union Officials.Travel to client sites as required for meetings, consultations, and other business activities.Qualifications:Tertiary Education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.Previous experience or internship in HR or industrial relations is desirable.Strong knowledge of South African labour Laws, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and CCMA procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.Willingness to travel as required is a must.Preferred Skills:Experience in conducting investigations and handling disciplinary and grievance procedures.Experience in managing CCMA cases and procedures thereof.Benefits:Opportunities for professional development.Remote working arrangements.Travel allowance and reimbursement for business-related expenses.Exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries.Package & RemunerationHR Services, Recruitment & Selection
