High performing, dynamic and growing manufacturing company operating in South Africa as well as internationally is looking for driven and high performing individuals to join its Health & Safety team in Amanzimtoti as a Junior Health & Safety Officer on a 12-month YES4Youth employment program.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPPE ordering and issuingArranging medicalsInductions on employees and contractorsHousekeepingWork closely with SHE RepsArranging equipment services (fire equipment and fire protection systems)Safety AppointmentsIncident investigationsContractor ControlAdministrative work (filing and creating POs)REQUIREMENTSGrade 12 (with a pass in Mathematics)Must have Safety Management Training Course (SAMTRAC) or similar qualificationMinimum of 1 year working experience in a Manufacturing environment (Safety Administrator, Safety Officer).Experience in managing contractors will be an advantage.Must be unemployedIndividuals must be between the ages of 18 and 34Must be a South African citizenContent with working on a 12-month YES4Youth Learnership Contract (to commence work on the 6th January 2025)Be computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Have the ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)Functions well under pressureStrong work ethics and values with excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skillsOrganised/driven and committed to learningStrong conflict resolution skills and not afraid to hold people accountableDesire and ability to take full ownership of projects and produce high quality workProactive and has the ability to be self-managedREMUNERATIONMarket related for learnerships will be discussed at the interview stage.
