Junior Formulation Chemist

HIRING: Junior Formulation ChemistPosition Type:  (Half-Day) Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior Formulation Chemist.
This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative products while working closely with the Senior Formulation Chemist.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and Development:Prepare product samples for new product development, stability, and other relevant testing.Conduct stability testing to ensure product longevity and effectiveness.Review and approve artwork, claims, and other documentation to ensure compliance with both local and global regulatory standards.Assist in preparing comprehensive documentation for customers, including product information files, new formulation sheets, manufacturing batch sheets, and raw material lists.Calculate costings for new formulation development.Create new Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).Compile ingredient lists for new products.Perform calibrations and verification checks on laboratory and manufacturing equipment.Manage inventory of chemicals, glassware, stationery, and other laboratory supplies.Provide support with general laboratory administration, such as filing invoices, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and organizing raw materials.Employee Specifications and Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Effective communication skills in English.Eager and motivated to learn and grow in the field of formulation chemistry.A degree/diploma in Laboratory Technologies or a related field.Prior laboratory experience is essential.A dynamic and passionate approach to science with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.Minimum Education/Qualifications Required:Grade 12 or equivalent.Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
