Job Advert Summary
We are looking for a Junior / Intern Forensic Investigator to start immediately.
Bachelor's degree in either forensic auditing or accounting background will be an added advantage.
Registration with ACFE or ICFP accreditation will be an added advantage.
Must have own transport and be based in Cape Town
Minimum Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with oversight/control experience with an audit firm, with specific audit and financial experience and knowledge of the key regulatory requirements particularly in relation to SARS, Companies Act etc.
Strong in accounting and understanding financials.
Strong investigative skills.
Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills are also key, and candidates with have a high sense of responsibility and great interpersonal skills.
Candidate must have strong report writing skills and be able to work in highly pressurised environment with adherence to deadlines.
Commit to deadlines.
Work long hours
Work both independently and as part of a team.
Candidate must be available immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform, organise and conduct, due diligence reviews including onsite visits (if required) and production of reports.
Co-ordinate and perform where appropriate, with required back-up, due diligence on the relevant parties, including questionnaire completion, follow-up questions and on-site and/or remote sessions.
Ensure any potential findings and/or recommendations are addressed and remediated, with regular follow-ups and maintaining clear audit trail of follow-ups and escalation as necessary.
Maintain key internal controls, including a due diligence oversight dashboard, and prepare reporting to the General Manager.
Participate in specific projects with regards to any regulatory developments in order to update as required related controls and processes in the due diligence process, if required.
Ensure timely completion of due diligence reports
