Junior Food Production Line Supervisor/Junior Factory Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment.
Preparation of workplace/department schedules to meet production output.
Assigning responsibilities to production employees.
Ensuring safety and compliance: Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements (employees are trained on all procedures relating to safety, production and quality applicable to the environment in which we operate).
Compiling production reports for management.
Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment.
Recruiting, training and coaching of employees.
Receiving, recording, and managing raw materials for the production line.
Communicating effectively to ensure complete transparency, clarity, and understanding of the desired outcome for both production staff and management.

Experience/Qualifications:

Min 3-5 years' experience in Production Line/Manufacturing supervisory experience.
Sound knowledge and experience of traceability systems.
Extensive experience of label compliance within the retail environment on a finished food product.
Excellent understanding of layout/floor planning within the food production industry.
Computer literacy: Mandatory (proficient in Excel).
Understanding of machinery and basic maintenance will be advantageous.

Please note that this role does require the potential candidate to work after hours on certain public holidays due to the nature of the business being retail manufacturing. Therefore, the candidate needs to reside in the Waterfall, KZN, and surrounding areas.
