A specialized Property Management and Investment company is seeking to employ a Junior Finance Manager to assist them with all thing finance and wanting to a long term opportunity to grow with this expanding business.

The ideal candidate will have a completed finance degree, completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles, and post articles experience in a similar role will be an added benefit.
A minimum of three years' experience is required and working knowledge of Xero and property management a positive.

Job Summary:The Junior Finance manager will ensure the seamless management of financial transactions, from processing invoices to maintaining accurate financial records.
This role is integral to ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly, aligning with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable ManagementReview, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure proper documentation.Manage vendor payments, including electronic transfers and Paysoft transactions.Reconcile vendor statements, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payments.Assist in preparing VAT forms and other tax-related documents.
Bookkeeping and Financial RecordsMaintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries.Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.Classify and record financial transactions with precision.Generate monthly financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.Stay updated on changes in financial and tax laws impacting the company.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and insights.
Communication and CollaborationLiaise with vendors, team members, and other departments to resolve financial inquiries or discrepancies.Provide clear, concise explanations for accounts payable or bookkeeping-related questions.
Qualifications:Certification and/or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).Completed SAIPA, CIMA, or SAICA articles.Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable and bookkeeping roles.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance (a plus).
Remuneration:R360,000 to R420,000 pa, negotiable on experience.
