Junior Finance Manager

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and professional Finance Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing the finance department's operational functions, including management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a resilient, proactive, and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Compile, analyze, and report on management accounts, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial variances.Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Prepare financial forecasts and manage annual budgets.Manage the completion of tax packs and compliance with tax legislation.Oversee income, expenditure, and monthly financial analysis.Conduct reviews and authorize payments to creditors.Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.Liaise with auditors and communicate with branches regarding financial matters.Identify cost-saving or revenue-increasing opportunities.Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to support operational objectives.Lead and manage team performance, ensuring an optimal working environment.RequirementsQualifications:BCom Accounting or equivalent (NQF7).Preferred: BCom Honours Accounting or higher (NQF8+), with completed articles.Experience:Minimum 3 years in a similar fast-paced environment.1-2 years in a supervisory/management role within finance.Skills and Competencies:Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite.Proficiency with Sage X3 (highly desirable).Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and team management abilities.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle pressure.Personal Attributes:Committed, resilient, and professional.Process-oriented and meticulous with attention to detail.Deadline-driven, proactive, and results-focused.Additional Requirements:Code 08 driver's license with own transport.Willingness to work overtime as needed, especially at month-end.BenefitsCompulsory Medical Aid (for non-beneficiaries).Compulsory Pension plan.Next Steps:Click apply and your application will be reviewed by our talent acquisition team who will contact you directlyYour Application:If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
