We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Farm Manager to oversee daily operations on a farm in Port Elizabeth. This position requires someone who is practical, with the ability to troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise, and has a strong technical mind for electrical and maintenance work. The ideal candidate will have great leadership skills to guide the farm staff, a passion for agriculture and operations, and a strong drive for success. Someon prepared to work hard, lead by example, and be willing to put in extra hours when necessary.Responsibilities:Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on farm equipment and infrastructure.Ensure that farm operations run smoothly and efficiently.Lead, manage, and motivate farm staff, providing guidance and direction when needed.Oversee day-to-day activities on the farm, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met.Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise, using your technical skills and hands-on approach.Manage farm operations in a way that aligns with long-term goals, ensuring the farm runs efficiently and sustainably.Be prepared to put in extra hours during busy periods and work in challenging conditions.Minimum Requirements:Matric (Grade 12)Fluent in Afrikaans and EnglishValid driver's license (Code 10 would be beneficial)Mechanical or Electrical interest with some hands-on experience in maintenance or repairsStrong leadership and people management skillsComputer literate (basic knowledge of office software and farm management tools)Ability to handle pressure and make decisions in fast-paced environmentsA passion for agriculture and farm operationsWillingness to work extra hours when required and drive farm successPreferred (But Not Required):Previous experience in agriculture or operational managementTechnical expertise or background in farm equipment maintenanceWhat We Offer:Comprehensive training from January to March 2024 in GeorgeAccommodation: 4-bedroom house on the farm (if needed)Opportunity to make an impact and grow within a dynamic teamA supportive and motivating work environment
