Junior Estimator

OverviewOur Client within the Construction and Civil Engineering Industry is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team.
The successful incumbent will support the estimating team in preparing cost estimates for construction projects.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12/Matric2+ years in the construction industryValid driver's licenseComputer literate (Strong Excel and Word skills)Job RequirementsPrepare accurate cost estimates.Assist with tender submissions.Package RFQ (Request for Quotations).Compile comprehensive BOQ (Bills of Quantities).Measure and create BOQs from drawings.Attend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior Management.Follow up on RFQs sent to sub-contractors to ensure competitive pricing.Build relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure the best market prices.Key Competencies/SkillsExcellent planning, organizing, communication and interpersonal skillsGood decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize and focus on deliverablesA motivated self-starter with a proactive and solution-driven approachProven ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environmentHigh attention to detailHigh level of accuracy
