Job description Junior Equity Researcher Profile Data has an opening in the company's Equity Research Department.
The position involves management of Profile's ShareData database, a comprehensive financial information resource on all listed companies on the JSE, A2X, CTSE, EESE and NSX exchanges.
Job Specification
Conducting financial and equity research into listed companiesManaging and monitoring Corporate Research South Africa database, forecast database and ShareData Online websiteAnalysing and interpretation of financial statements, financial reports, ratio calculations, exchange rate computations, directors' dealings and SENS notesSourcing, collating and verifying information on listed companies from SENS, annual reports etc.Compilation, proof reading and editing functions for Profile's Stock Exchange HandbookPreparing, analysing and managing data received for shares, currencies, bonds and indices; as well as checking, correcting and updating dividend and earnings yieldsCapturing and executing corporate actions — performing share consolidations, splits and unbundlings; as well as listing and delisting companiesEstablishing and managing relationships with companies and attending to queries from clients timeously and diligentlyWriting media comments from various publicationsSkills and Competencies This position will suit a candidate who:
