Our client, Environmental Consultants based in Cape Town are seeking the skills of a Junior Environmental Assessment Practitioner/ECO.Main job function:Working professionally with all due care as an integral part of the Environmental Services Team, including quality control, meeting deadlines, managing deliverables for all environmental applications and associated processes, and ensuring Client satisfaction at all times.Demonstrating accurate and timeous actions to ensure that all technology platform knowledge management systems used by the Company for the Environmental Services Team are kept current, relevant, and meaningful.Demonstrating accurate and timeous actions to ensure that all filing knowledge management systems (such as correct file naming, saving of emails, key decisions, minutes, maps, etc.) used by the Company for the Environmental Services Team are kept current, relevant, and meaningful.Demonstrating accurate and timeous actions to ensure the effecting implementation of administrative tasks related to taking and issuing minutes, action points, and memos that are relevant, concise, and meaningful.Assist with coordinating and managing allocated Projects on the Team Project Portfolio, including:Project managementQuality controlMeeting all deadlinesManaging deliverablesEnsuring client satisfactionDelivering on the brand promiseAssistance with the development of operational systems and processes to continually improve the efficiency of the above-mentioned services.Assistance with the development of new product offerings from the Environmental Services Team for the Company.Assistance with Client recruitment, development, and maintaining and enhancing Client relations for the Company.Assistance with Project recruitment and development for the Company.Public Speaking and representing at key industry forums.Assistance with strengthening existing partnerships and development of new strategic partnerships, respectively.Assistance with strengthening and improving brand presence of the Company.Administration and general logistical support to the Company.ECO (Including site visits, providing induction workshops to contractors, addressing any issues on site, and compiling ECO Reports).Assistance to Management and EAP's with project research, drafting of relevant documentation, and any other requirements.Conducting site visits as well as placing of site notices when required.Qualifications:Environmental Qualification.Professionally registered with EAPASA.Criteria:Professionally registered with EAPASA as a candidate and with at least 1-2 years of successful private sector EIA and ECO experience across South Africa, ideally in the renewable energy sector.Outstanding attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving abilities and quality control of the highest standard.The successful candidate will understand and demonstrate how to manage Clients and Projects of International stature.The successful candidate will also demonstrate a deep-seated passion for our organizational culture and brand aspiration.The capacity to diligently, efficiently, and effectively manage complex projects, timelines, and scenarios will need to be clearly demonstrated, as will an inspirational, can-do, and people-focused leadership ability.The following skill sets are core:Project ManagementEnvironmental Auditing and Construction ManagementEnvironmental Management ProgrammesA competent understanding of all SEMA's and associated regulationsA competent understanding of the renewable energy sector, challenges, and opportunitiesPeople ManagementA Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
