Junior Draughtsman

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES The Junior Draftsperson will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and should be comfortable working at an adjustable table and computer terminal. Office based work woth occational travels to site. Following specifications and calculations issued by the design draftsperson or engineers to update or create various technical drawings. Marking up drawings and detailing work from general arrangements using 3D CADD systems. Communicating with design draftspersons, and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team. Ensuring final designs are compliant with good engineering practices and specified regulations. Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team. Any other tasks required by management QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 3D computer-aided design package training and certification. Experience in 3D computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), specifically SolidWorks. Experience in 3D pipe routing, plant & equipment drafting, including basic structures. Ability to draw manually for site work. Ability to work well in a team and to show initiative. Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
