Junior Design Engineer

Position: Junior Design Engineer
Location: Main office in Randburg, with occasional travel to clients in Gauteng and site visits.
Package and Remuneration: 20K – 30K (depending on experience) plus Medical Benefits (company plan specific).

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• 2-3 years of post-university experience with Solidworks.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) and vaults.
• PDM Administration experience (advantageous).
• Hands-on experience with machines.
• Sage accounting experience.
• Proficiency in office products such as Teams, Excel, and Word.
Responsibilities:
• Execute and lead the full design process from ideation to production.
• Draw, update, and maintain designs.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, technical, and customer requirements.
• Ensure all design projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
• Develop concepts of operations.
• Develop system requirement specifications.
• Develop user requirements.
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Develop CNC instructions.
• Perform quality inspection of parts made and assembled.
• Interact with clients.
• Conduct site visits and participate in commissioning activities.
