A well established company based in Dunkeld is seeking a Junior Customs Clearance Clerk.
Duties: Pre-Sailing Container Bookings and Planning: Strategic Weekly Planning: Conduct weekly planning sessions with the Production and QA teams to strategize container bookings, considering production schedules, quality checks, and supplier readiness.
FCL Consolidations: Coordinate Full Container Load (FCL) consolidations with one or more suppliers to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs.

Post-Sailing Container Shipments: Document Verification: Verify supplier shipment documents against the signed the companies Purchase Order (PO), shipment plan, and Bill of Lading.
LCT Creation: Generate Landed Cost Tracking (LCT) documents reflecting the supplier merchandise value upon shipment.
Clearance Coordination: Email the Clearing Agent with checked shipment documents and save all relevant documents on the server with the packing list for the warehouse.
Stock Code Management: Attach bill of materials elements to stock codes and update volumes based on the packing list.
Customs and Compliance: Submit necessary documents to Border Police upon pre-stop, request Letters of Authority (LOAs) from brand license authorities, and coordinate with Adams & Adams for document verification.
Cost Distribution: Reattach LCT for accurate cost distribution and request Arrival Notification (ANF) and Import Landside Charges from the Shipping Line for customs clearance.
Landside Invoice Verification: Verify Landside Invoices against agreed rates and process customs clearance via the Digi-Freight website.
Final Release and Documentation: Submit documents to the Shipping Line to obtain final release and create a warehouse picking slip for sample allocation.

Post-Container Delivery: Invoice Processing: Capture all creditor invoices on Syspro for costs not allocated to LCT and manage AP Invoice Posting for both foreign supplier invoices and local logistics.
Tracking and Reporting: Monitor GRN (Goods Received Note) reports and Foreign Supplier Age Analysis.
Commission Calculation Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Proven experience in logistics and supply chain coordination, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software (e.g., Syspro, Digi-Freight).
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage complex documentation processes.
Knowledge of customs regulations and compliance procedures is an advantage.
