Junior Civil Engineer - Knysna

Join Hire Resolve client as a Junior Civil Engineer in Knysna, WC! We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual to support our clients in delivering high-quality civil engineering projects. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and construction managers, assisting with project planning, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the review and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
Support project planning and scheduling
Coordinate site activities and ensure adherence to timelines
Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients and contractors
Prepare and maintain project documentation
Conduct site surveys and inspections
Help manage resources and materials effectively
Identify and address unexpected project challenges
Participate in safety inspections and compliance checks
Attend regular site meetings and report on progress

Requirements:

BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or relevant advanced diploma
2 years of experience in civil engineering projects
1 year experience in Autocad civil 3D
Basic understanding of engineering codes and standards
Valid driver's license
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm for learning and career development
