Junior Buyer - Kempton Park

Responsible for purchasing materials driven by MRP demand and adhoc purchases.
Duties include negotiating with suppliers to achieve best cost, quality & service.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCEMatricTertiary qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain would be an advantage1 - 2 years experience in procurement;1 - 2 years experience in the Electronics / Appliance business;1 - 2 years experience in MRP;Syspro will be an advantageComputer literate (Microsoft Office Package);Schauenburg Systems is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities.
We strongly encourage EE candidates and individuals with disabilities to submit their applications.RESPONSIBILITIESInput requisitions based on MRP & manual requirements for both inventory & non-stock into Syspro and follow through approval;Ensure PO's are placed timely and correctly;Ensure that goods and services are acquired in a timely manner;Expedite outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries;Maintain Syspro accurately to reflect correct information;Minimize the cost of products and services which meet our needs, and establish strong vendor relationships;Deal with queries efficiently;Support other departments that require assistance;Maintain & build good relationships with suppliers;Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Attributes) Required:Work on own initiative;Confident and influential;Team player;Systematic, controlled and organised;Logical thinker;Deadline oriented;Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;Highly motivated and able to build close relationships internally and externally;Please note our shortlisting period is one to two weeks.
