To be responsible for supporting initiatives driving results measured by lower material costs, more responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements and productivity throughout the supply chain.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCEMatric3 – 5 years experience in procurement;2 – 5 years supervisory experience;2 – 5 years experience in the electronic business;2 – 3 years experience in MRP and Accpac/Syspro;Highly computer literate (Microsoft Office Package);Be able to comply with legislation, regulations standards, codes of practices and established safe practices and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIESProcurementMaintain raw material database within MRP system for accuracy of pricing and specifications;Maintain and follow purchasing procedures to conform to ISO standards, including thorough analysis of potential suppliers and annual review of existing suppliers reviewing costs, quality, delivery and other pertinent factors;Responsible for establishing and maintaining clear and effective purchasing policies and procedures;Input purchase orders into Syspro and approve purchase orders entered by purchasing employees;Ensure that goods and services are acquired in a timely manner;Identify alternative suppliers to fill present and future needs;Follow-up on orders placed to ensure timely deliveries;Minimize the cost of products and services which meet our needs, and establish strong vendor relationships;Managing & ControllingPlan for the effective utilization of resources for the purchasing area.Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Attributes) Required:Skills & Knowledge:Work on own initiative;Confident and influential;Team player;Systematic, controlled and organized;All applicants who meet the minimum requirements and wish to apply should do so on or before 21st of November at 12:00.Please note our shortlisting period is one-two weeks.
