Junior Buyer

The purpose of this job is to perform procurement functions at branch level within the procurement department.Qualifications & Experience:2+ years of Procurement Experience (advantageous)2+ years Syspro/Qdocs experience (advantageous)Microsoft Office SkillsBasic understanding of accounting principles (advantageous)Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Behavioral Dimensions Required:Facilitate compliance with the companys procurement policies at branch levelFacilitate procurement requirements at a branch level ( obtaining comparative quotes, aligning with the Preferred Supplier List, etc)Generating purchase orders and communicating these to suppliers.Generating SCT orders and coordinating collections etc.Following up on Active purchase orders.Reviewing and reporting on Active Purchase Orders.Running improvement projects as requested by management.Facilitating supplier credit apps at branch level.AuditsGeneral Duties /other Adhoc functions within reason as may be requested by your manager from time to time.
