Junior Building Estimator - Construction Industry

RPO Recruitment's client, a well-established building contractor in Cape Town, is currently seeking to employ a qualified and hardworking Junior Estimator who can join their successful and growing team as soon as possible.Responsibilities:Preparing accurate cost estimatesAssisting with tender submissionsPackaging RFQs (Request of Quotations)Compiling comprehensive BOQs (Bills of Quantities), as well as measuring and drawing-up of BOQs from drawingsAttend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior ManagementFollowing up on RFQs sent out to Sub-Contractors, ensuring that the most competitive priced quotes are received on each trade for the tenderBuild relationships with various Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to ensure the best pricing is received in the marketRequirements:BTech in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification in the built environmentMinimum 2 years' relevant experience working in a building contractor environmentProficiency in CCS Candy and MS Office essentialValid Driver's License and own transportExcellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skillsGood decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritise and focus on deliverablesA motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approachEvidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environmentBenefits:Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
