Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for a JUNIOR BRAND MANAGER for a destinations company operating in the remote Indian Ocean islands and atolls. The Client is pioneering a new style of experiential travel while actively conserving the pristine habitats and breathtaking natural beauty of the Islands. The position is based at their South African office in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience
Must be a graduate and hold a diploma or degree in marketing or business or a related field.
Proven 2 years' experience in both sales and marketing roles.
Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
Excellent email etiquette.
Possess strong business writing skills and be able to produce high-quality documents.
Be aware of all the latest digital marketing tactics strategies and securities.
Must be able to travel locally and internationally, when required.
Proficient in digital marketing strategies and tools.
Key Performance Areas
Overview: As Junior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for driving both sales and marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives. This role involves developing and executing effective sales and marketing campaigns, supporting the sales and marketing teams, and contributing to the overall growth of the organisation.
Implement strategies for lead generation through various channels, including digital marketing, events, and partnerships.
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with sales goals and overall business.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to marketing and sales efforts.
Assist the sales team by providing marketing materials, sales collateral, and other resources to enhance their effectiveness.
Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure all marketing material, rate sheets, content, and other documents are always up to date.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Utilise market intelligence to adapt marketing and sales strategies for optimal results.
Monitor and analyse sales and marketing metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the effectiveness of campaigns.
Formulate campaign strategy, research potential marketing channels, analyse competitors, and testing.
Analyse the performance of campaigns, identify strategic opportunities, and facilitate change to hit and exceed expectations and KPIs.
Build audiences and digital community management.
Audience engagement.
Copywriting and content creation.
Optimisation of copy.
Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in digital marketing as well as consumer behaviour and recommend improvements.
Email marketing and campaigns.
Blog building and publishing.
CRM Management.
Facilitate all design projects internally and with external design agencies.
Facilitate any copy, media or content required for web builds, internally and with external digital media agencies.
Maintain relationships with external PR agencies.
Provide support to the sales and marketing managers across all companies.

Remuneration and Package
R20,000 (gross).
Full time position.
Based at the Client's office in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban.
21 days annual leave per year.
