We are looking for an experienced and deadline-driven Junior Bookkeeper to support a busy finance team with bookkeeping and administrative duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: DebtorsGenerate pro-forma invoices, tax invoices, credit notes, and customer statementsCheck sub-contractor and employee expense claims and compile recharge invoicesAllocate deposits from customersMaintain customer master files and customer databaseReconcile customer accountsConstant communication with customers and outstanding debt collectionCreditorsProcess supplier invoices and employee expenses, controlling against company policiesCommunicate with suppliers, sub-contractors, and employees relating to invoices and expensesMaintain supplier master files and supplier databaseSort, file, and scan supplier documentation and keep the electronic filing systemAdministrationSupport with administrative dutiesAssist with travel arrangements – booking of accommodation and car rentalsAnswer the telephone.Desired Qualification, Experience, and Skills: Recognised tertiary bookkeeping qualification is a minimumAt least 5 years proven hands-on working experience in a finance department in a corporate company in a bookkeeping roleService industry experience is an advantageAdvanced MS Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, and Microsoft Office 365 skillsComputer Literacy with working experience on accounting software like SagePrevious working experience in services industry in Certification and Inspection is an advantage i.e. Global GAP, BRC, FSSC, SizaWorking understanding of VAT and accounting principlesKey Attributes: Mature person with an exceptional sense of responsibility and integrityTeam player that is a reliable member of a highly functioning finance teamSelf-starter that takes initiative and can produce high-quality work with minimum supervisionDeadline driven and focused on goals of the teamAccuracy and attention to detail is essentialStrong mathematical and analytical ability with a proven track record of reconciliations and problem-solvingExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workloadExcellent verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and EnglishExcellent telephone skillsNo Criminal Record or any pending casesClear ITC Record.
