About the Job: Junior BookkeeperResponsibilities include managing the books for 2 companies and 2 trusts, with a focus on the following:Experience in Management accountsProcessing monthly PayrollPreparation and submission of PAYE returnsPreparation and submission of VAT returnsCompletion of tax returnsRegular communication with clients (telephonic and email)Preparation of annual financial statements and working paper filesForecastingQualifications and Experience:Matric is essential plus tertiary qualificationHigh level of competency in English (verbal and written)5 years of experience in bookkeeping, with strong financial acumen and understandingExperience in a similar position is a distinct advantageKnowledge of accounting principles and VATUnderstanding of e-filingWorking knowledge of Pastel EvolutionGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel intermediate level) and Pastel is essential
