Junior Bookkeeper

RPO Recruitment's client, an established construction and development company, is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join their clients team.
As a Junior Bookkeeper, your main responsibilities will include assisting the Accounting team in creating financial reports, processing accounts payable and receivable, managing invoices, and tax payments.
You will also be involved in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, participating in internal audits and compliance activities, and performing general administrative tasks related to bookkeeping.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and a BCom degree.
Prior experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, are required.
Knowledge of accounting software, such as Sage Pastel, is a must.
Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Process accounts payable and receivable transactions Maintain and update financial records in accounting software Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures Support senior staff in financial analysis and budgeting Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff Requirements BCom degree Prior experience in bookkeeping or administrative role Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Knowledge of accounting software, such as Sage Pastel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment High level of integrity and professionalism Benefits Salary: Competitive Salary Apply for this role today, contact Morne Gaven at RPO Recruitment You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: ****** We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
